Ashgabat, Bishkek Discuss Preparations for Meeting of Central Asian Leaders

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Ruslan Kazakbayev and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov in a telephone conversation on Thursday discussed the organization and holding of the upcoming Consultative meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia, scheduled to held in Turkmenistan on August 5-6.

The heads of the foreign affairs agencies discussed the agenda of the upcoming event, focusing on the draft multilateral documents that are planned to be adopted within the framework of the meeting, the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry said in its press release.

The parties expressed confidence that the upcoming meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia will be held at a high organizational level and will give further impulse to strengthening and expanding regional cooperation.

The officials held a constructive exchange of views on the organization of a number of important events planned within the framework of the Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia, according to the statement.

On August 6 this year, the Avaza National Tourist Zone of Turkmenistan will host six important international events, including the Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia, Dialogue of Women of the region's countries, International Exhibition and Economic Forum of Central Asian Countries, Exhibition of National Dishes of region’s nations and a festive concert of cultural artists from Central Asian countries.
