President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov on Thursday flew to Turkmenbashi in western Turkmenistan for a two-day working visit to participate in the Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia, the press service of the administration of Kyrgyz President said in the statement.
The meeting will discuss issues of regional cooperation in trade-economic, energy, transport-communications spheres, as well as joint measures to combat the coronavirus pandemic.
During the visit, President Sadyr Japarov will hold a series of bilateral talks with the leaders of the countries of the region, according to the statement.
The head of Kyrgyzstan is accompanied by high-ranking government officials of the country.
On August 6 this year, the Avaza National Tourist Zone of Turkmenistan will host six important international events, including the Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia, Dialogue of Women of the region's countries, International Exhibition and Economic Forum of Central Asian Countries, Exhibition of National Dishes of region’s nations and a festive concert of cultural artists from Central Asian countries.
