The total amount of transactions concluded in foreign currency at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan over the past week neared $5.36 million.
For foreign currency, companies based in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Turkey bought petroleum coke produced at the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries (TCOR), the official media of Turkmenistan reported on Monday.
The business circles of Russia, Turkey, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan purchased cotton yarn, float sheet glass and jacquard products for foreign currency.
Businesses from the UAE, Great Britain and Kazakhstan bought cotton yarn and medical products for a total of 35.867 million manats.
For the domestic market, local businesses purchased off-grade polypropylene Türkmenaglomerat and packaging film, produced at the TCOR, worth 2.97 million manats.
The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan registered a total of 35 transactions last week.
