New Carpet Workshop, Residential Buildings Open in Turkmenistan’s Mary Velayat
The new workshop is the seventh facility of its kind operated by the Mary hand-made carpet weaving enterprise.

New facilities for different purposes were opened in Turkmenistan’s Mary velayat on Monday. A new carpet workshop of the Mary hand-made carpet weaving enterprise of Türkmenhaly (Turkmen Carpets) State Association was commissioned in the velayat’s Bayramali city, the country’s official media reports.

The event was attended by members of the government, representatives of public organizations and media.

The workshop is equipped with modern specialized machinery and appropriate engineering-technical support systems. The building also houses a dining room, a recreation room, a first-aid post, study rooms, a conference room, a warehouse for storing raw materials and finished products, as well as in-house carpet museum, according to the report.

The new workshop is the seventh facility of its kind operated by the Mary hand-made carpet weaving enterprise.

On the same day, a solemn ceremony of opening a seven-story 188-apartment residential complex built along Magtymguly street by Ojar Aziýa Individual Enterprise, took place in the city of Mary, the administrative center of the velayat.

The new facility was built in full compliance with modern requirements. The residential complex consists of five blocks. Its first floor is reserved for trade enterprises. For the convenience of residents, related infrastructure was also erected, including children's playgrounds and car parking.

The opening of new facilities in Mary velayat is timed to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the independence of Turkmenistan.
