Turkmen scientists obtained from local materials biological products for the diagnosis of anthrax, which are necessary for suppliers of leather raw materials, since the export of these products is possible only after their testing for anthrax, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET) reported last Wednesday.
According to the report, the biological products are called precipitating anthrax serum from horse blood and standard bacterial anthrax antigen (Ascoli antigen).
Scientists of the Scientific-Production Center of Livestock and Veterinary Medicine of the Turkmen Agricultural University named after S.A. Niyazov succeeded in developing diagnostic products based on local raw materials. The products have passed all the necessary laboratory and production tests. normative and technical documents approved by the supervisory authorities were issued for the biological products.
The new development has already been successfully applied in the livestock industry of the country and entered industrial production by order of the State Veterinary Service of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection, according to the report.
In May this year, scientists of the Institute of Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan have developed and proposed for implementation a new method of producing activated carbon from licorice waste. The new development will make it possible to abandon the purchase of activated carbon abroad and mass produce it from local raw materials.
