The head of the Areti international group of companies Igor Makarov in a meeting with President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on Tuesday presented new proposals for the development of hydrocarbon fields in Turkmen shelf of the Caspian Sea.
During the meeting, the main topic of discussion was the prospects for cooperation, primarily in the fuel-energy, construction and transport sectors, the official media of Turkmenistan reports.
Makarov briefed on the ongoing work within the framework of the concluded contracts, including the implementation of projects entrusted to ARETI. He also expressed the company's readiness to expand interaction spheres.
Presenting new proposals to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the head of Areti said the interest in this project is primarily due to the potential of Turkmenistan and its favorable investment climate, adding that all this makes it possible to effectively invest large funds in the development of oil and gas fields, in the construction of infrastructure facilities.
Outlining the company’s constructive approach to strengthening mutually beneficial business ties, the Turkmen President said the main requirement for contractor companies is the use of the latest technological solutions and advanced scientific developments in the implementation of any project and compliance with environmental safety standards. The Turkmen Leader gave the businessman a number of instructions related to the implementation of joint projects.
At the end of the meeting, Makarov confirmed the company’s readiness to continue its active participation in large-scale programs successfully implemented in the country and assured President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov that the company will make efforts to successfully promote fruitful cooperation.
Areti, headquartered in Geneva, was founded in 1992. President of the company, Igor Makarov, was appointed as an expert under the Advisor to the President of Turkmenistan on oil and gas issues in August last year.
