Turkmen Envoy in Italy Holds Talks With Veneto's Governor
Meeting between Turkmen Ambassador to Italy Toyly Komekov and governor of Italia’s Veneto region Luca Zaia, Veneto

The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Italy Toyly Komekov during his visit to the Italian region of Veneto on November 10-12 held a meeting with the region’s governor Luca Zaia. The talks included discussions on the development of relations between the Ahal velayat and the Veneto region in terms of business and trade relations, cultural exchange, various joint events and conferences.

The officials voiced their mutual interest in deepening cooperation in the textile industry, in the agro-industrial complex and the creation of industrial enterprises using Italian technologies in Turkmenistan, the Turkmen Embassy in Italy said in its press release.

The Turkmen delegation also met with the leadership of the Ca’ Foscari University, the Querini Stampalia Foundation and took part in the international horse exhibition Fieracavalli.

The Turkmen delegation was received by the leadership of the General Confederation of Italian Industry’s (Confindustria) regional association in Veneto. The leaders of the industry associations of Venice, Vicenza, Padua and Treviso regions, as well as various Italian companies in Veneto organized brief business presentations.

Veneto is considered one of the most visited and highly developed regions of Italy. The industrial sector, textile and agricultural sectors have turned Veneto into a major economic region in Italy.
