Central Bank of Turkmenistan Reveals Amount of Citizens’ Bank Deposits

As of November 1, 2021, the total amount of deposits of citizens of Turkmenistan in credit institutions amounted to 3.28 billion manats, which is 5.35% more compared to same period of 2020. In November 2020, this figure was more than 3.1 billion manats, according to the data of Central Bank of Turkmenistan.

As of November 1, 2021, the total amount of deposits of Turkmen citizens in joint-stock commercial banks amounted to 664.88 million manats, which is 107.4% more compared to same period of 2020. In November 2020, the total amount of these deposits was over 320.1 million manats.

According to the Turkmen Central Bank, as of November 1, 2021, the total amount of deposits of citizens of Turkmenistan in state commercial banks exceeded 2.6 billion manats, and the total amount of their deposits in branches of foreign banks was 1.7 million manats.

According to the data of the Scientific-Production Council of the Turkmen Central Bank, as of November 1, 2021, the balance on correspondent accounts of credit institutions in the Central Bank exceeds 12.2 billion manats.

In April this year, new headquarters of the Türkmenbaşy and the Senagat banks opened in Ashgabat.
