Turkmen President Approves Anti-Crisis Program For 2022

President of Turkmenistan on Friday signed a Resolution on the approval of the Program to reduce the impact on the country's economy of complications encountered in the global economy, and the stable development of the national economy in 2022.

The Resolution was signed during the online cabinet meeting on Friday, the official media of Turkmenistan reports.

The Resolution also approved the Action Plan for the implementation of the Program.

The anti-crisis program defines the tasks of maintaining the multilateral and sustainable growth of the national economy, increasing the efficiency of using production facilities, developing the transport and logistics system, and widely introducing digital technologies and best practices.

The Program also envisages measures to provide state support to small and medium-sized businesses, actively attract foreign investment, strengthen the social security of the population and improve social and living conditions.

During the meeting, the Head of Turkmenistan also signed Resolution allowing the Central Bank and authorized credit institutions to postpone until January 1, 2023 the payment deadlines of the balances of ministries, sectoral departments and khyakimliks unpaid as of January 1, 2022 on allocated loan funds, as well as unpaid interest rates calculated in the previous period.
