Private livestock breeders in Turkmenistan’s eastern velayat of Lebap produced more than 323 tons of red meat in 2021, an increase of 164 tons compared to 2020.
Only in December last year, the meat production amounted to 42 tons, the country’s official media reported on Thursday.
The region’s private farms also contributed to the processing of meat. Last year, 281.5 tons of sausages were supplied to buyers, an increase of 155 tons compared to 2020.
Last year, the dairy production of private livestock farms amounted to 1,854 tons. In 2020, milk production amounted to 255 tons.
Lebap, the eastern velayat of Turkmenistan, borders Afghanistan and Uzbekistan. Its home to the highest mountain range of Turkmenistan – Koytendag.
