The construction of the new modern administrative center of Turkmenistan’s Ahal velayat is carried out by 62 local individual enterprises that are members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, as well as 5 state enterprises, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said during the meeting at the construction site on Tuesday.
The meeting, held within the framework of the President’s working visit to Ahal velayat, gathered relevant government officials and heads of construction contractors working in the new administrative center of Ahal velayat, the country’s official media reports.
The construction of the new velayat center is planned in two stages, the Turkmen Leader said at the meeting, adding that the first stage includes building of 336 facilities, including 11 public and 26 administrative buildings, 19 educational institutions, 258 two- and multi-storey residential buildings, 8 medical and sports facilities, 14 internal and external engineering systems and structures.
President Berdimuhamedov said the state created all conditions for the implementation of this large project. During the construction works contractors and subcontractors were exempted from customs duties, exchange and customs charges.
On the basis of the customers' request the credits with the grace period were provided to finance the necessary part of the contracts to erect the houses.
Then the Head of State was briefed by the heads of member-businesses of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan carrying out the construction works in the new administrative center.
The head of Birleşme-Gurluşyk enterprise, the founders of Saýaly Menzil Economic Society, Ussat Inžener Individual Enterprise, the head of Sport Ýyldyzy Individual Enterprise, the founder of Dost Gurluşyk, Söwda Önümçilik Economic Society, the directors of Ojar Aziýa Individual Enterprise, Nusaý ýollary Individual Enterprise, General Director of Türkmen Awtoban Closed Joint-Stock Company, Chief Engineer of this company, founder of Nur bina gurluşyk Individual Enterprise have reported on the works carried out in connection with the construction of facilities, road and engineering structures, parks and other social buildings.
The main work on most of the buildings at the new administrative center is currently at the stage of completion. Special importance is given to the creation of parks, green areas in the new modern administrative center, according to the report.
The Turkmen Leader also highlighted the necessity of widely using green technology to preserve the natural beauty of the new city under construction on the foothills of the Kopetdag mountain.
During the meeting, the Chairman of the Türkmenaragatnaşyk Agency Hajymyrat Hudayguliyev briefed on the program that is planned to be launched in the new administrative center to introduce modern types of the internet and communication systems, and their effective work.
Following the reports, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov highlighted the importance of tasks of attracting students of higher education institutions of the country to the construction work, urgent consideration and optimal resolution of arising issues at weekly meetings of the Working Commission on construction of the administrative center, preparation and submission of proposals on especially important issues for consideration of the Turkmen President.
The start of project to build the modern administrative center was given in April 2019 with the participation of the President of Turkmenistan.
