CIS Intends to Hold Over 300 Events in Humanitarian Sphere

The members of the expert group discussed the draft plan of priority events in the sphere of humanitarian cooperation of the CIS member states for 2023-2024, the official media of Turkmenistan reported on Monday.

The meeting was held in a hybrid format and was attended by representatives of Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, the Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation, and the CIS Executive Committee.

The participants considered relevant proposals to the draft plan of the interested parties. After final approval by the experts, the document will be submitted for consideration at the upcoming meetings of the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers and CIS Council of Heads of Government.

The plan consists of 10 sections and includes more than 300 events.

The document is expected to coordinate multilateral cooperation in the fields of education, science, culture, information and mass communications, book publishing and printing, sport and tourism between the CIS member states.
