Turkmen Leader Congratulates Mattarella on His Re-Election as Italian President

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov sent a congratulatory letter to Sergio Mattarella on his re-election as President of Italy.

In the congratulatory message, the Turkmen Leader said in recent years the relations between Turkmenistan and Italy in various areas have been characterized by the effectiveness, mutual benefit and growth dynamics, confirming the willingness to continue joint work necessary to bring them to new highs.

The Turkmen President wished the Italian President good health and great success in the activities aimed at progress and prosperity of the Italian people, the official media of Turkmenistan reported on Wednesday.

Sergio Mattarella was elected President of Italy in 2015 for a seven-year term and was re-elected in January 2022. Sergio Mattarella was born in Sicily on July 23, 1941.

Diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and Italy were established in 1992.

2022
