Turkmenistan Sets Price For Cotton Seeds Produced by State Enterprise

Turkmenistan has set the price of 1 ton of cotton seeds produced at the cotton ginning enterprises of its Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection and sold to enterprises for the production of vegetable at 1,000 manats.

The Deputy Chairman of the Turkmen Government in charge of the agro-industrial complex Esenmyrat Orazgeldiyev presented the draft Resolution on setting the price of cotton seeds for consideration by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov during the online cabinet meeting on Thursday.

The document provides for ensuring the profitability of cotton ginning enterprises, regulating their financial and economic relations with vegetable oil producers, as well as maintaining the price of seed material sold to cotton growers at the same level, according to the Orazgeldiyev’s report.

Stating that targeted measures will continue to be taken to support farmers and develop the country's agriculture, the Turkmen Leader signed the presented document.

The cabinet meeting summed up the results of the work of the sectors of the national economy for January of this year, considered drafts of a number of documents and current state of affairs.
