The total amount of transactions concluded in foreign currency at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan over the past week exceeded $34 million.
For foreign currency, the businesses from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Switzerland and Afghanistan purchased aviation kerosene and fuel oil produced at Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries, the official media of Turkmenistan reported on Monday.
Additionally, the companies from Russia, Serbia, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey and Kyrgyzstan purchased cotton yarn, plain-dyed terry products and licorice root for foreign currency.
Businesses from the UAE, Turkey, Kazakhstan and Afghanistan purchased handmade Turkmen carpets and cotton yarn for over 30.145 million manats.
For the domestic market, local businesses purchased high-density polyethylene (HDPE) of Türkmenhimiýa and hand-made carpets for around 2 million manats.
The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan registered a total of 43 transactions last week.
