The inauguration ceremony of the newly elected President of Turkmenistan will be held at the Oguzhan Palace Complex in capital Ashgabat on March 19, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov informed during the joint meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers and the State Security Council held online on Thursday.
The Head of State added that after the inauguration ceremony ceremonial events will continue at the Reception Center.
The meeting considered the preparations for the March 12 presidential elections and a number of other issues.
During the meeting, the Head of State gave relevant instructions to government officials to control the conduct of rapid tests for COVID-19 of international observers who arrived in Turkmenistan, members of precinct election commissions, as well as other persons participating in this campaign.
Before the start of the elections, polling stations must be disinfected, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said, instructing to ensure strict observance of all precautionary measures.
The Head of State also instructed to ensure full compliance with sanitary and epidemiological requirements at the upcoming presidential elections in Turkmenistan.
The presidential election campaign has started on February 14. Nine candidates are running for the highest state post in March 12 early presidential elections.
