President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received on Friday the Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan Mikayil Jabbarov Chingiz oglu, the official media of Turkmenistan reports.
During the meeting, the sides stressed the importance of further ensuring appropriate economic, financial and legal conditions, and organizing joint business forums for the further development of business contacts between entrepreneurs of the two countries.
The parties emphasized the importance of regular meetings of representatives of ministries and departments, business circles, and their participation in large-scale joint forums in strengthening the Turkmen-Azerbaijani dialogue.
Minister Jabbarov said Azerbaijan attaches great importance to building up bilateral economic partnership with Turkmenistan.
Focusing on the prospects for the development of the transport-communications network in Central Asia, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stated the need to take joint measures in order to make wider use of the potential of both countries for the successful implementation of projects to form new transport corridors.
During his visit to Ashgabat, the Azerbaijani Minister also met with Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the Chairman of Halk Maslakhaty chamber of Turkmen bicameral parliament Milli Gengesh. The sides discussed building up the potential of bilateral inter-parliamentary relations.
