Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Fund for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship will allocate $400 thousand for the treatment of children at the Scientific and Clinical Center for Maternal and Child Healthcare in Ashgabat, the Chairman of Halk Maslakhaty chamber of Turkmen bicameral parlimant Milli Gengesh Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said during his visit to the center on Wednesday.
The Minister of Healthcare and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan Nurmuhammet Amannepesov informed that 220 children in the country are currently in need of heart surgery. The latest and most effective AORTIC products are used to treat children with disorders and pathologies of the heart, the country’s official media reports.
The Fund was established in accordance with the Presidential Resolution on March 29 last year to provide social support to the younger generation, help restore the health of children in need of guardianship, and provide favorable conditions for their happy life.
The Scientific and Clinical Center for Maternal and Child Healthcare opened in the Turkmen capital in 2015. The modern seven-story center is designed for the simultaneous treatment of 670 people and consists of 28 departments.
