The total amount of transactions concluded in foreign currency at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan over the past week exceeded $83 million.
For foreign currency, the companies from the UK, the UAE and Turkey purchased aviation kerosene, hydrotreated diesel fuel and petroleum coke produced by the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries, the official Turkmen media reported on Monday.
The businesses from the UAE, Turkey and Afghanistan also purchased ECO-93 gasoline of Türkmenhimiýa (Turkmen Chemicals) State Concern and liquefied gas of Seydi Oil Refinery.
In addition, the business circles from India, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Afghanistan purchased terry products and cotton yarn for foreign currency.
The companies from Turkey, Kazakhstan and India bought cotton yarn for around 15 million manats.
For the domestic market, local businesses purchased cotton pieces, and handmade carpets for more than 95.88 million manats.
The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan registered a total of 30 transactions last week.
