President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held an online meeting on Monday with Annageldy Yazmyradov, the Deputy Chairman of the Turkmen Government in charge of the agro-industrial complex, and provincial governors.
The provincial governors reported on the situation in the provinces, the ongoing phased work to increase the pace of grain harvesting and ensure the full operation of combines and trucks for transporting the harvest, the country’s official media reports.
The Governor of Balkan province particularly reported to the Head of State on the progress in sowing sugar beet, while the governors of Dashoguz and Lebap provinces on the pace of rice planting.
Following the governors briefings, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stated the importance of organizing the harvest of high quality wheat in the shortest possible time, instructing to keep under constant control the issues of immediate payment for the delivered harvest.
The Vice-Premier Yazmyradov briefed on the current state of affairs in the agro-industrial complex of the country, work on the wheat harvest without waste, comprehensive work to ensure a high yield of vegetables.
The Turkmen President emphasized that the timely and quality implementation of agro-technical activities in the fields sown with potatoes, vegetables and melons is the key to future high harvests, and addressed a number of specific instructions to this end to the Vice-Premier.
