President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and m Hou Qijun, Board Member and President of the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), in a meeting on Monday discussed the development of the second stage of the Galkynysh field and the laying of the fourth branch of the Turkmenistan-China transnational gas pipeline.
The CNPC President confirmed the interest of Chinese partners in strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation with Turkmenistan, built on a long-term basis, the official Turkmen media reports.
The Head of Turkmenistan stated with satisfaction the positive role of CNPC in long-term relations.
The CNPC head expressed his deep gratitude to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for his participation in the opening ceremony of the Gadyn gas gathering station in Lebap province on June 18, and for the active attention paid to developing the interstate cooperation in the energy sphere. Hou Qijun assured that the Chinese partners will continue to take the most serious and responsible approach to fulfillment of their obligations.
Ambassador of China to Turkmenistan Qian Naicheng also took part in the meeting.
