Turkmenistan will organize the travel of its 275 citizens to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from July 2 to 22 this year to perform the Hajj.
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed the Decree authorizing the organization of the trip on Thursday, the country’s official media reports.
In accordance with the document, the Türkmehowaýollary (Turkmen Airlines) Agency of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Turkmen Cabinet of Ministers is instructed to carry out a special flight for the travel of pilgrims to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and back at its own expense.
In early June, Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov visited Saudi Arabia to perform the Umrah. In his visit to Mecca, the Muslim holy land, the Head of State was accompanied by elders from the country's provinces.
