Turkmenistan, Vietnam Look to Create Joint Business Council
The meeting participants noted their commitment to developing constructive, mutually beneficial relations between the two countries.

Turkmenistan and Vietnam intend to create joint business council to strengthen ties between the businesses of the countries.

The discussions to this end was held during a meeting of Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Vepa Hajiyev and the First Deputy Foreign Minister of Vietnam Nguyen Minh Vu in Hanoi on Monday, the Turkmen Foreign Ministry said in its press release.

The meeting was held in the framework of the visit of the Turkmen delegation led by Deputy Foreign Minister to Vietnam from June 27 to July 1 to discuss issues of bilateral cooperation in the political, trade-economic, scientific-educational and urban development sectors in accordance with the Decree of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

The sides expressed an interest in strengthening mutually beneficial relations between the business circles of the two countries. In this regard, it was proposed to exchange trade-economic delegations to get acquainted and study the prospects for the development of relations, as well as to initiate the Turkmen-Vietnamese Business Council.

The meeting participants noted their commitment to developing constructive, mutually beneficial relations between the two countries. The sides also highlighted their commitment to developing cooperation in culture, education, science, sports and tourism.

According to the Vietnam News Agency, the official state-run news agency of Vietnam, the Vietnam-Turkmenistan business forum will be held on June 29.

The Turkmen delegation will also meet with representatives of Vietnamese ministries overseeing transport, construction, industry and trade, and education and training.
