The total amount of transactions concluded in foreign currency at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan over the past week exceeded $14 million.
For foreign currency, the Afghan businesses purchased aviation kerosene and hydrotreated diesel fuel produced by the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries, while the Emirati and Turkish companies purchased cotton yarn, plain-dyed and jacquard terry products, the official Turkmen media reported on Monday.
For the Turkmen currency, the Emirati businesses also procured Turkmen cotton yarn. The total amount of transactions neared 3.9 million manats.
For the domestic market, the local businesses bought high-density polyethylene of Türkmenhimiýa (Turkmen Chemicals) State Concern and handmade carpets for more than 47.6 million manats.
The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan registered a total of 38 transactions last week.
