The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan said in its Tuesday press release that it expresses concern at the information about the events that have occurred in recent days in the Republic of Karakalpakstan of Uzbekistan.
The foreign policy agency emphasized that the Turkmen side supports the timely and decisive actions of the leadership of Uzbekistan to protect the constitutional order and law and order in the country, the safety and peace of its citizens.
“We are confident that centuries-old folk wisdom, experience and foresight will help overcome the difficulties that have arisen and ensure the progressive and stable development of Uzbekistan, the stability of state and public institutions,” the Turkmen Foreign Ministry added.
It added that Turkmenistan, as a close neighbor of Uzbekistan, expresses its readiness to provide it with the necessary support and assistance.
Turkmenistan shares nearly 1.8 thousand-kilometer border with Uzbekistan.
