Turkmenistan is holding a three-day celebration of the main Muslim holiday - Kurban Bayrami (Eid al-Adha).
On the first day of Kurban Bayrami, on Saturday, Eid prayer was performed in the main mosques of the capital, provinces, and in all other mosques of Turkmenistan, the country’s official media reports.
A number of events, combined with musical performances, were organized in all provinces of the country, in front of the buildings of Türkmeniň Ak Öýi (Turkmen White Yurt), and in the central park of culture and recreation of the city of Anev.
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Friday congratulated citizens, saying, “Dear compatriots, I sincerely congratulate you on the holiday of Kurban Bayrami. I wish you good health, long life, happiness and family well-being.”
The heads of foreign countries sent congratulatory letters on the occasion of the Kurban Bayrami to the Turkmen President and the entire Turkmen people.
