Kyrgyz, Indian Businesses Buy Textile Products Through Turkmen Commodity Exchange
The companies from India procured different types of cotton yarn for 9.7 million manats.

The businesses from Kyrgyzstan and India made deals on the procurement of textile products during the Wednesday trades at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan (SCRMET).

The Kyrgyz business purchased dyed terry products of medium tones of different sizes for $302.5 thousand and different types of cotton yarn for $1.1 million, the SCRMET announced on Thursday.

The companies from India procured different types of cotton yarn for 9.7 million manats. In total, more than 221 thousand kilograms of the yarn manufactured by the enterprises of the Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan will be exported to India.

Last week, the total amount of transactions concluded in foreign currency at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan exceeded $3.2 million.

Established in 1994, the SCRMET is the main body regulating export-import operations in Turkmenistan.
