The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan (SCRMET) during Monday trades registered five deals on the procurement of different diesel fuel types worth $16.9 million.
The businesses of Hong Kong and Afghanistan purchased a total of 7.4 thousand tons of hydrotreated diesel fuel for a total of $7.3 million. The cost of the fuel fell by 11 percent compared to the previous auction and amounted to $997.25 per ton, the SCRMET announced on Tuesday.
Additionally, the companies from Turkey and Afghanistan concluded deals for the purchase of 10,000 tons of L-0.2-62 diesel fuel for $9.5 million. Its price decreased by 16.7 percent compared to previously signed contracts and amounted to $953.25 per ton.
Last week, the total amount of transactions concluded in foreign currency at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan exceeded $54.5 million.
Established in 1994, the SCRMET is the main body regulating export-import operations in Turkmenistan.
