President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has sent a congratulatory letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin on the occasion of his 70th birthday, the official Turkmen media reported on Thursday.
"On such a momentous day of your life, it is gratifying to note that the profound attention you pay to the strengthening and development of bilateral relations between Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation is of great importance,” Berdimuhamedov said in his message.
“Cooperation between our countries has a long-term perspective. We are ready to make every effort to further expand it for the good of our peoples," President Berdimuhamedov stated.
Once again congratulating President Vladimir Putin on the jubilee, the Head of Turkmenistan wished him good health, happiness and success in his responsible state activity, and progress and prosperity to the Russian people.
The Russian Leader celebrates his 70th birthday on Friday. On his birthday, he will attend an informal CIS summit at the Konstantinovsky Palace in St. Petersburg.
