Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and Secretary General of the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) Sultanbay Raev in a meeting in Ashgabat on Tuesday discussed the possibilities of organizing joint events dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the Turkmen poet Magtymguly Pyragy.
During the meeting, the side considered current state and priority areas of cooperation, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan said in its press release.
At the same time, the parties, noting the fruitful nature of the interaction of Turkmenistan with the TURKSOY, spoke in favor of further deepening intercultural ties.
TURKSOY is an international organization focused on research, development, preservation and transfer of the culture, language, history, art, traditions and customs of the Turkic peoples to future generations.
