President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov observed joint military field exercises of the Armed Forces and other services on Monday during his working visit to the country’s Balkan province. The field exercises were held at the maritime training center located in the province’s Turkmenbashi district.
At the start of his visit, Turkmen President inspected fighter jets and combat helicopters, cargo planes and modern modifications of new military aviation equipment displayed at Turkmenbashi International Airport, the country’s official media reports.
In the course of the exercise, flights of unmanned aerial vehicles and firing shots, as well as tactical actions of troops, Edermen and Gayratly missile ships and Denizhan corvette were demonstrated through the TürkmenÄlem 52oE satellite in direct video link.
The exercises featured unmanned combat aerial vehicle Bayraktar TB2. This marks the first time use of Bayraktar TB2 in the military field exercises in Turkmenistan, according to report.
At the end of the exercises, the Head of Turkmenistan stressed that the state would continue to carry out comprehensive work in this direction, which would contribute to maintaining peace and turning the borders of the country into borders of friendship and brotherhood.
