The total amount of transactions concluded in foreign currency at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan over the past week amounted to more than $10.26 million, the country’s official media reported on Monday.
The business from Turkey, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan and the UAE purchased base oil and petroleum coke produced at the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries.
The Emirati companies also purchased different types of cotton yarn produced by enterprises of the Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan in the amount of more than 7.58 million manats.
For the domestic market, local businesses purchased plastic pallets worth more than 4.1 million manats.
The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan registered a total of 13 transactions last week.
