President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has sent sincere congratulations and best wishes to Alain Berset on his election as President of the Swiss Confederation.
The Head of Turkmenistan wished Alain Berset good health, happiness, prosperity and great success in his new position, the official Turkmen media reported on Thursday.
The Swiss parliament, Federal Assembly, on Wednesday elected the country’s interior minister Berset to the presidency of the country for 2023. Alain Berset, 50, will assume the presidency for the second time. He previously held the post in 2018.
The presidency in Switzerland changes hands every year and passes between government ministers, who also continue with their ministerial duties.
