Turkmenistan Celebrated 27th Anniversary of Neutrality
The solemn date started with the ceremony of laying flowers at the Monument of Neutrality, with the participation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

The people Turkmenistan on Monday celebrated the International Neutrality Day and the 27th anniversary of the United Nations (UN) General Assembly's historic Resolution on the Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan.

The solemn date started with the ceremony of laying flowers at the Monument of Neutrality, with the participation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the country’s official media reports.

The event was attended members of foreign delegations that arrived in the country to participate in the International Conference "Dialogue - a guarantee of peace" and the annual meeting of the Dialogue of Central Asian Women, the leaders of the Turkmen bicameral parliament, deputy chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of military and law enforcement agencies, ministries and departments, ambassadors of Turkmenistan in foreign countries, heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in Turkmenistan, elders and the representatives of the international organizations.

In his holiday address to the people, the Turkmen President Berdimuhamedov said, “The main objective of our neutrality, recognized by the international community as a great value and universal doctrine, is protection of peace and security in the world on the basis of principles of peace and friendship in the interests of mankind and future. From this point of view, the permanent neutrality of our state, located at the crossroads of Asia and Europe, has given a powerful impetus to the expansion of international cooperation and development of friendly relations.”

In addition, the Mukam Palace of the State Cultural Center in Ashgabat hosted a festive concert dedicated to the International Day of Neutrality and the 27th anniversary of the permanent neutrality status of Turkmenistan.

Festive events dedicated to the International Day of Neutrality were also held in all regions of the country.
