Turkmenistan Drafts Program for Creation, Development of Free Economic Zones
Following the brief, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov said FEZs today are an integral part of global economic relations and are among the key factors of rapid economic growth.

Deputy Chairman of Turkmen Government in charge of economic and financial issues Hojamyrat Geldimyradov during the online cabinet meeting hosted by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on Friday briefed on draft State Program for the Creation and Development of Free Economic Zones (FEZ), the country’s official media reports.

The preparation of the draft program is being carried out in accordance with the priorities defined in the conceptual documents – Revival of a new era of the powerful state: The National Program of Social and Economic Development of Turkmenistan in 2022-2052 and the Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the socio-economic development of the country in 2022-2028.

Following the brief, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov said FEZs today are an integral part of global economic relations and are among the key factors of rapid economic growth.

To achieve these goals, it is necessary to intensify interaction with foreign partners to exchange information and technologies, to deepen the integration of economic processes, to increase international trade turnover, the Turkmen President stated and gave a number of specific instructions in this regard to the Vice-Premier.

The government meeting discussed priority issues of state affairs and adopted documents aimed at further development of Turkmenistan.
