During the expanded session of the State Security Council of Turkmenistan on Friday on the results of the work of military and law enforcement bodies in 2022, President of Turkmenistan, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Serdar Berdimuhamedov was awarded the rank of Army General in accordance with a Resolution of the Turkmen parliament Mejlis, the country’s official media reports.
“The awarding of the rank of Army General to me as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces in accordance with the Constitution of Turkmenistan by the Mejlis of the country imposes on me the responsibility to work tirelessly for further strengthening the defense capability of my native land, ensuring peace and stability in the country and happy and prosperous life of citizens," President Berdimuhamedov said.
The secretary of the State Security Council of Turkmenistan and Minister of Defense Begench Gundogdiyev heartily congratulated the Head of State on behalf of the personnel and staff of the military and law enforcement agencies with receiving the high military rank of Army General in accordance with Article 81 of the Constitution of Turkmenistan.
The expanded session of the State Security Council of Turkmenistan also discussed issues of ensuring security and peace in the country, strengthening the material and technical base of law enforcement agencies and further improvement of their activities.
