Bank Account For Türkiye Earthquake Relief Donations Opens in Turkmenistan
Donations can also be made to the bank accounts of Turkish aid organizations AFAD and Turkish Red Crescent.

A charitable foreign currency bank account through which those who wish can support the victims of the devastating earthquake in Turkey was opened in Turkmenistan-based Turkmen-Turkish Commercial Bank on behalf of the Turkish Embassy in Ashgabat.

The received funds will be transferred to the aid accounts of the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) and Turkish Red Crescent without a transfer commission fee, the Turkish Embassy in Turkmenistan said in its Thursday press release.

The Turkish diplomatic mission also informs that donations can be made to the bank accounts of Turkish aid organizations AFAD and Turkish Red Crescent, whose details are listed below, through the Turkmen-Turkish bank without a transfer commission fee.

People can also donate online to the aid accounts of AFAD, Turkish Red Crescent and Turkish Religious Foundation.

Many countries offered to send help, whether medical supplies, search teams or money.

The Turkmen plane carrying aid team and supplies for the earthquake victims flew off from Ashgabat to Türkiye on Tuesday morning.

The U.S. Geological Survey measured Monday’s earthquake at 7.8 magnitude. During the second half of the day, a second massive earthquake of 7.6 magnitude has hit the southeast of Türkiye. According to the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority of Türkiye, the earthquakes were followed by 1,506 aftershocks. As of 08.30 Türkiye time, the death toll of the earthquake stood at 18.342, and 72,242 people were injured.
