Kyrgyzstan’s foreign trade turnover with Turkmenistan in 2022 amounted to more than $82.16 million, a 117.1 percent increase compared to 2021, according to the report published by the National Statistical Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic on Tuesday.
The trade turnover between the countries in 2021 was more than $37.84 million.
Last year, Kyrgyzstan imported more than $77.4 million worth of Turkmen products, a 136.2 percent increase compared to the previous year. At the same period, the country’s exports to Turkmenistan amounted to over $4.73 million, a decrease of 6.5 percent compared to 2021.
The main Turkmen exports to Kyrgyzstan in 2022 were oil products, electricity, and vegetables, according to the report.
The total foreign trade turnover of Kyrgyzstan in 2022 exceeded $11.81 billion, which, compared to the same period in 2021, is an increase of 41.8 percent.
