Kazakhstan to Introduce Electronic Queue on Border With Turkmenistan
Kazakhstan will now introduce this system at four more checkpoints by the end of February.

Kazakhstan will introduce electronic queue system at Temir-Baba checkpoint on border with Turkmenistan on February 22, the press service of the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported on Wednesday.

Since November 23, 2022, the electronic queue service CarGoRuqsat has been implemented at several checkpoints on the Kazakh-Chinese border. The service was launched on the digital platform Qoldau.kz and is free for users.

Kazakhstan will now introduce this system at four more checkpoints by the end of February. The two are on the border with China and the other two in the southwest of the country in Mangistau province - Temir-Baba and Tazhen checkpoints. Tazhen is located on the Kazakh-Uzbek border.

The system is created and maintained by developers of "Information and Accounting Center" JSC of the Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan. The electronic queue system is created and maintained by Kazakhstani developers. To date, the system has about 7.5 thousand registered users, who have made 84 thousand transactions for booking a queue.

According to the developers, the service is constantly evolving and improving. Soon it will be complemented by identity verification via Face ID, and also will start verifying identity through a bank card – for foreign citizens.

The CarGoRuqsat electronic queue service allows carriers to reserve a queue in advance, and this queue is public. It aims to speed up the process of border crossing for trucks. Carriers go through control processes as early as at the reservation stage. The system checks the applicant for tax debts, toll road fees, the registration of truck and trailer. The second task of the service is to minimize the risk of unlawful manipulation of the queue at the border.
