Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Proposes Türkiye to Implement Projects in Turkmenistan
The Halk Maslahaty Chairman noted that the volume of trade turnover between the countries is growing year by year.

The National Leader of Turkmen people, Chairman of Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in a telephone conversation with Speaker of the Grand National Assembly (Parliament) of Türkiye Mustafa Sentop on Friday proposed to implement new projects in Turkmenistan.

The Halk Maslahaty Chairman particularly suggested implementing specific projects in such sectors as energy, transport and communications, investment, trade, agriculture, textiles, processing and petrochemical industries, according to the official Turkmen media.

Focusing on cooperation between the two countries in trade and economic sphere, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said that today, Turkish businesses are working effectively in different segments of the economy of Turkmenistan.

The Halk Maslahaty Chairman noted that the volume of trade turnover between the countries is growing year by year and that Türkiye is one of the leading trade partners of Turkmenistan.

In this context, the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye stated that the favorable investment climate in Turkmenistan creates an increasing interest of international business circles in our country, stressing that Turkish businessmen are honored to participate in major projects aimed at modernizing the national economy and building a strong industrial infrastructure.

As part of the consistent development of bilateral trade-economic relations, the Halk Maslahaty Chairman noted the importance of the tasks facing the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Turkish Commission on Economic Cooperation, stressing that Turkmenistan is ready to hold its next, seventh meeting, as well as the Turkmen-Turkish Business Forum.

The phone talk also discussed parliamentary, cultural-humanitarian ties between Turkmenistan and Türkiye.
