Turkmenistan’s capital Ashgabat will host the Turkmen-Tatar business forum on March 15.
Batyr Atdayev, the Deputy Chairman of the Government overseeing the country’s trade and textile complex, briefed on the ongoing preparations for the forum during the online cabinet meeting hosted by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on Friday, according to the country’s official media.
The event is expected to be attended by representatives of government agencies that are part of the joint Turkmen-Tatarstan working group on trade-economic, scientific-technical and cultural cooperation, industry agencies, as well as the heads of several Turkmen and Tatar companies.
Following the brief, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that Turkmenistan attaches great importance to strengthening the traditional cooperation with the Russian Federation and its regions, including the Republic of Tatarstan.
During the meeting, Atdayev also briefed on preparations for the events dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET), including the holding on March 17-23 of the exhibition that will showcase products and achievements of more than 200 union-members.
