The Embassy of Turkmenistan in Kazakhstan took active part in the Novruz festivity, organized by Astana city administration on March 22, the embassy informed on its social media platform.
Novruz festivity took place in Astana city park and was attended by representatives of diplomatic missions, city administration and citizens. Turkmenistan’s booth decorated in the national-styled yurt presented traditional costumes, jewelries, handicrafts and national dishes. Within the program of the event, guests were introduced to the culture, customs and traditions of the Turkmen people.
The event also included national folk songs and dances performed by Turkmen students on stage. Representatives of Astana city administration visited the Turkmen yurt and highly appreciated the organization of exhibition and Turkmen people’s hospitality.
On March 20, along with diplomatic missions of other Turkic states, the Turkmen Embassy showcased national dishes at the exhibition of Turkic cuisine in Astana.
