President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov on Friday received Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, who arrived in Turkmenistan on an official visit. As a result of the Turkmen-Hungarian talks at the highest level, a package of bilateral documents were signed.
Among them:
- Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of diplomatic training between the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary;
- Agreement on academic and scientific cooperation between the State Medical University of Turkmenistan named after Myrat Garryev and Semmelweis University;
- Memorandum of Understanding on scientific and technical cooperation in the field of meteorology between the State Reference Center of the Main State Service of Turkmenistan "Türkmenstandartlary" and the Office of Meteorology and Technical Control of the Budapest Capital City Government Office;
- Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of water management between the State Committee for Water Management of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Interior of Hungary;
- Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the framework of the Stipendium Hungaricum program for 2024-2026 between the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary;
- Memorandum of Understanding in the sphere of tourism between the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan and the Hungarian Tourism Agency;
- Program of cooperation in the sphere of culture between the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Culture and Innovation of Hungary;
- Agreement between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Government of Hungary on the Promotion and Protection of Investments.
At the end of the ceremony, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Prime Minister Viktor Orbán addressed the media.
The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, held a meeting with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán in Ashgabat on Thursday.
