Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov held talks with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan in Ashgabat on Wednesday. The talks were followed by a meeting of the delegations of the two countries.
According to the Turkish Foreign Ministry, the meeting discussed preparations for the upcoming visit of Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to Türkiye.
The sides also exchanged views on topics related to trade, energy, transportation, construction services, inter-parliamentary cooperation, education, culture and consular services.
At the end of the meeting, the ministers signed a program of cooperation between the foreign ministries for 2024-2025.
On the same day, the Turkish Foreign Minister laid a wreath at the Independence Monument of Turkmenistan in Ashgabat.
