Representatives of Turkmenistan's energy sector participated in two major international events in London from February 24 to 27 — the Platts London Energy Forum 2025 and London Energy Week. The forums addressed key topics such as decarbonization, the transition to clean energy, and the role of natural gas in energy transformation. Turkmenistan showcased key projects from its oil and gas sector, including gas supplies and the development of new infrastructure, as reported by the official media of Turkmenistan on Saturday.

At the Platts London Energy Forum 2025, participants focused on swap gas supplies to Turkey and the construction of the TAPI pipeline. Experts emphasized Turkmenistan’s role in reducing pollution and emissions, noting that the 30 billion cubic meters of gas exported to China is equivalent to 60 million tons of coal.

Forum delegates received invitations to the International Forum for Investment in Turkmenistan's Economy (TEIF 2025), scheduled for April 23 to 25 in Kuala Lumpur.

Representatives also took an active role in London Energy Week, which brought together over 1,500 delegates. Many attendees will also participate in the Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan (OGT) conference in Ashgabat, celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2025.

The forums highlighted Turkmenistan's success in reducing methane emissions, particularly at the Chaljulba (Derveze) field. A meeting with Capterio’s Executive Director resulted in the preparation of a scientific article with updated data. Experts received invitations to the TESC 2025 conference in Ashgabat on June 5, where they will discuss environmental aspects of hydrocarbon field development.
