An international tourism exhibition and conference, Turkmentravel 2026, opened Tuesday at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan in Ashgabat.
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated participants on the opening of the forum, expressing confidence that it will become a significant event in the tourism sector.
The head of state noted that Ashgabat, included in the ranking of the World Federation of Tourist Cities, the uniquely beautiful buildings of Arkadag, the Avaza National Tourist Zone, and the natural features of the Karakum Desert and Koytendag demonstrate the country’s vast tourism potential, adding that the organization of such international exhibitions and conferences plays an important role in promoting historical, cultural and natural landmarks, as well as in attracting tourists.
The Turkmentravel 2026 event has brought together representatives of tourism companies, hotel chains, investors and industry experts from various countries, creating broad opportunities for the exchange of international experience, the presentation of new services and the identification of promising areas of cooperation.
The program includes an exhibition, thematic sessions, presentations, as well as B2B and B2G meetings aimed at advancing new projects and strengthening mutually beneficial partnerships.
The Turkmentravel 2026 international exhibition and conference will run through April 16.
