The results of the world championship of equestrian sports and beauty competitions among Akhal-Teke horses held in the Kingdom of the Netherlands have been announced. In the “World Champion Among Akhal-Teke Horses — 2026” competition, Yyndam, a black horse owned by A. Martinez of France, won the title of “Absolute Champion” and the “World Champion” award. The winner was ceremonially presented with the keys to a modern passenger car on behalf of Hero-Arkadag and the honorable President, a representative of the Business Turkmenistan online publication attended the event reported.
A. Martinez accepted the car keys, and in accordance with the noble Turkmen tradition, flour was sprinkled on the new car and a traditional alaja cord was tied to it.
In the “Young Horse Champion” competition, Meledag, a horse from the International Akhal-Teke Equestrian Sports Complex, won and received a €10,000 cash prize and the competition cup. In the “Best Horse of Europe” competition, Agana Shael, a horse owned by private breeder A. Bailey of France, won and received a €10,000 cash prize and the cup. In the “Best Decorated Horse” competition, Toýly, a chestnut-colored horse from the Akhal-Teke Equestrian Complex of the President of Turkmenistan, won and received a €5,000 cash prize and the cup.
In the beauty competitions, Jerengozli, a horse from the International Akhal-Teke Equestrian Sports Complex, won among 1- and 2-year-old horses, while Gunesh, from the same complex, won among 3-year-old horses. Among 3- and 4-year-old horses, Ming-de-Ahal, owned by the farm of S. Playi of France, won, while Yagshyja — Owadan, owned by B. Mamelekov of Ukraine, won among 5-year-old and older horses. Each winner received a €3,000 cash prize and the competition cup.
In the competition for the horse’s beautiful movement (dressage), Bady-Saba, owned by Ukrainian breeder Lilyan, won, while Yhlas Chopanov, an athlete from the National Equestrian Sports Center of Turkmenistan, won the show jumping competition. Each received a €3,000 cash prize and a cup.
In the International Creative Competition, P. Patdykov was declared the winner in sculpture, A. Atahanov in painting, O. Amanjayeva in carpet weaving, Ukrainian W. Osowski in photography and A. Sahedow in jewelry. Each winner received a €1,500 cash prize.
The “Audience Favorite” award was also presented to the “Galkynysh” national equestrian games group as part of the world championship of Akhal-Teke horses.
