As part of the Korean national week organized by the Embassy of Korea in Turkmenistan in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan, a try on event of hanbok, a traditional Korean dress, took place in the Berkarar Shopping and Entertainment Center. During the event, residents of the capital got the chance to know the Korean dressing culture better.
During an interview with the Business Turkmenistan, Jepil Mun, Counselor of the Korean Embassy, noted that especially young population shows high interest in Korean culture. He further highlighted the color pattern similarities between Turkmen national dresses and hanbok. He added that today in South Korea, hanbok is tailored taking into consideration the modern preferences of population.
