Turkmen IT and technology companies participated in the UK Technology Conference 2020 in Istanbul, Turkey on February 17, according to the British Embassy in Turkmenistan.
The participation of the Turkmen delegation comprising of such companies as Akylly Tilsimat, Turkmen Tranzit, Imdat Elektronika and Turkmen IT Park was supported by the UK's Department for International Trade (DIT) and the British Embassy in Turkmenistan.
The event brought together thought-leaders from business, university, research centre and government and hosted a series of exclusive keynotes, panel discussions and workshops in different sectors including Fintech, Agritech, Digital Manufacturing, Science and Innovation, Open Data and Smart Cities.
The UK experts from various sectors showcased the UK’s excellence in the technology sphere and gave the participants insightful tips for their business plans with the UK.
The conference served as an excellent forum for the Turkmen companies to learn about the tools that would help them expand their business in the UK and Turkey, to learn about the UK’s capabilities in smart technologies and meet with British companies to explore areas of collaboration and establish new partnerships, to gain an insight of the UK impact investment ecosystem and to explore wide range of available R&D funding opportunities.
Akylly Tilsimat, specializing on the creation of stable business environment for entrepreneurs and companies in Turkmenistan, launched the project “I am an entrepreneur”, which allows to put new business ideas into practice. For the further development of the project, the company received a grant from the British Embassy in Turkmenistan in July 2019.
Türkmen-Tranzit was established in 2010 and works in the field of information technologies and telecommunication. The company launched its cybersecurity division in March last year.
Imdat Electronika is the provider of communication, security and IT solutions in Turkmenistan. The company opened the first specialized store in the country selling robotics construction platform from the leading manufacturer Makeblock on March 4, 2019.
Established in August 2019, Turkmen IT Park Closed Joint Stock Company aims to develop digital infrastructure in the country and bring innovative products of Turkmenistan to the international market.
