President Berdimuhamedov Celebrates Turkmenistan’s National Day at Expo 2020 Dubai

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov paid a working visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Saturday and took part in the opening ceremony of the National Day of Turkmenistan at the World Expo 2020 in Dubai.

Upon arrival at the Dubai International Airport, the Head of Turkmenistan was greeted by the UAE officials. At the air harbor, the Turkmen Leader held talks with the Minister of Energy of the UAE Suhail Mohammed Al Mazroui, the official media of Turkmenistan reports.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov then took part in the opening ceremony of the National Day of Turkmenistan at the Expo 2020 Dubai. The celebrations were also attended by Reem Al-Hashimi, the UAE’s Minister of State for International Cooperation and Managing Director for the Expo 2020 Dubai

The Turkmen Leader, together with high-ranking officials of the UAE, toured the Turkmen pavilion, displaying the achievements of the country in key areas of its economy. The national pavilion of Turkmenistan is located in the Mobility District and operates under the motto "Travel to culture with Akhal-Teke horses".

The visitors of the pavilion were demonstrated the achievements of Turkmenistan in the fields of transport, construction, healthcare, sports and culture. The Head of State broadly acquainted the participants of the review with the advanced directions of the country's development and the achievements of Turkmenistan during the years of its independence.

The Turkmen President also visited the pavilion of the UAE, showcasing the advanced trends in the country's development.

Following the events, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held bilateral meetings with the UAE’s officials at the headquarters of the Expo 2020 Dubai, which resulted in the signing of a package of bilateral documents covering a wide range of areas of multifaceted partnership between Turkmenistan and the UAE.
